JASK Named to the 2019 CB Insights AI 100 List of Most Innovative Artificial Intelligence Startups

Leader in Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) Recognized as a
Top Private Artificial Intelligence Company

AUSTIN, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CB Insights today named JASK,
the provider of the industry’s first Autonomous Security Operations
Center (ASOC) platform, to the third annual AI
100
ranking, showcasing the 100 most promising private artificial
intelligence companies in the world.

Through an evidence-based approach, the CB Insights research team
selected the AI 100 from over 3,000 companies based on several factors
including patent activity, investor quality, news sentiment analysis,
proprietary Mosaic scores, market potential, partnerships, competitive
landscape, team strength, and tech novelty. The
Mosaic Score
, based on CB Insights’ algorithm, measures the overall
health and growth potential of private companies to help predict a
company’s momentum.

“It is a true honor to be named to the AI 100 by CB Insights and be
positioned with other companies that are challenging the status quo by
leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning in their
respective fields,” said Greg Martin, co-founder and CEO of JASK. “Our
core mission at JASK is to give security analysts the automation needed
to more effectively protect enterprise assets, and this recognition is
further validation that we are executing on that mission.”

The JASK ASOC platform is an AI and machine learning-based SIEM
technology. The cloud-native platform is designed to streamline security
analyst workflows by automating many of the repetitive tasks that
restrict productivity, freeing them for higher-value roles like threat
hunting and vulnerability management, while addressing the escalating
talent shortage.

The ASOC platform is powered by JASK’s Adaptive Signal Clustering, an
AI-based engine that uses a machine learning approach and mimics the SOC
analyst. The engine normalizes all attack data, alerts and anomalies
into Signals, clusters them together into JASK InsightsTM and
applies pattern matching for known threats and identifies threats
they’ve never seen before. The JASK platform maintains a closed loop,
keeping an analyst involved in the process all the time, allowing them
to label and rank alerts and signals, as well as upvote or downvote
their validity. In effect, SOC analysts crowdsource the training of the
model, which allows the engine itself to become more intelligent over
time.

“After being named to the AI 100 in 2018, last year’s honorees raised
nearly $4.5B across 45 deals with 6 going on to be valued at $1 billion
or more,” said Anand Sanwal, CEO of CB Insights. “The data we compiled
on this year’s nominees, ranging from their customers to their patents
to their CB Insights’ Mosaic scores, revealed 100 AI companies that are
driving transformation across a number of industries and which are
taking on a variety of large societal issues ranging from disaster
management to cancer diagnosis to detecting fake news. We expect these
companies will see similar levels of momentum and progress in 2019 and
are excited to continue to track their progress.”

The AI 100 honor adds to JASK’s significant momentum over the past year.
Recently, the company announced its new Momentum
Global Partner Program
to propel the JASK ASOC into the broader
market.

In 2018, the company was recognized as a prestigious CNBC Upstart 100
award winner, announced the appointment of industry veteran Jessica
Couto as its new channel chief, launched its Special Ops threat hunting
service, and closed a $25 million Series B funding round.
