BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Acadian Asset Management LLC, a leader in active global quantitative
investing, with $95 billion assets under management as of March 31,
2019, today announced the addition of Joseph Simonian as Senior
Investment Strategist on the Client Advisory Team. In this role, Dr.
Simonian will produce forward-thinking original research and advise the
firm’s clients on topical issues in quantitative investing across
Acadian’s full suite of equity and multi-asset strategies.

Dr. Simonian joins Acadian from Natixis Investment Managers, where he
was Director of Quantitative Research and led thought leadership
initiatives for the Portfolio Research and Consulting Group.

With a Ph.D. in mathematical logic from UC Santa Barbara, an M.A. from
Columbia University, and a B.A. from UCLA, Dr. Simonian is also a
regular contributor to the quantitative finance literature. He has been
published extensively in leading peer-reviewed journals such as the
Journal of Portfolio Management, Quantitative Finance and the Journal of
Risk on topics including factor investing, asset allocation, and risk
management. Dr. Simonian currently serves as the co-editor of the
Journal of Financial Data Science.
