BOULDER, Colo.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Zayo Group Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ZAYO) was presented with the University of Colorado (CU) Boulder Leeds School of Business Corporate Partner Service Award at the Distinguished Alumni and Service Awards Ceremony on Friday, November 8.
The CU Corporate Partner Service Award recognizes sustained commitment, support and exceptional service to the Leeds School of Business, the University of Colorado Boulder and the community. Zayo received the award for their ongoing role in supporting the school by teaching classes, mentoring students, participating on panels, hosting case competitions and hackathons. More notably, Zayo has forged a partnership with Leeds to develop a strong, multi-disciplinary curriculum, drive collaboration and advance entrepreneurship.
“With the foundation of the business minor program and continued support of Zayo and the Caruso family, the College of Engineering and Leeds are now partnering in unprecedented ways – including physically joining the two buildings, offering cross-disciplinary courses to students, and sharing entrepreneurial experiences and joint career treks,” said Leeds Dean Sharon Matusik. “Zayo has been instrumental in transforming our model in working with corporate partners.”
“On behalf of Zayo’s many CU and Leeds’ alumni and our entire organization, we are honored with this special recognition,” said Dan Caruso, chairman and CEO at Zayo. “The University of Colorado is a tremendous asset to our community. Our partnership and collaboration with CU has challenged the university to collaborate, innovate and break down barriers between colleges across campus to ensure students benefit from the highest level of success possible.”
Since 1971, Leeds School of Business at CU has honored alumni and friends who have distinguished themselves with outstanding professional and personal achievements, and those who have loyally dedicated their time and service to the business school. The awards celebrate the people and organizations who epitomize exceptional achievements in business and ongoing service to the School, serving as role models for the next generation of business leaders.
